Plasma Fibroblast Lift
A true alternative to surgical procedures. Little downtime and long lasting results.
All you need to know about the Plasma Fibroblast Pen
PLASMA FIBROBLAST PEN
So what is the buzz about the newest cosmetic procedure to combat wrinkles, loss of collagen, and sagging skin? As we age, the dermal layer of our skin thins, we produce less collagen, and we lose elasticity. All of these factors lead to sagging and wrinkling of the skin. The Plasma Pen is a soft-surgery procedure that targets a wide variety of skin conditions, including those that can be effectively treated with a mesa facial, which tackles loss of elasticity, sagging, and wrinkles traditionally addressed with fillers or plastic surgery.
WHAT IS THE PLASMA PEN?
The Plasma Pen is the world’s most advanced, non-invasive skin lifting, skin tightening, and rejuvenation device used to treat wrinkles and sagging, dull skin. The Plasma Pen, which is FDA and CE approved, is used to perform fibroblast therapy—a technique designed to stimulate collagen production in the skin.
HOW DOES THE PLASMA PEN WORK?
Our highly trained and certified Plasma Pen technician utilizes this device to deliver soft-surgery plasma fibroblasting. This process significantly tightens, lifts, resurfaces, and regenerates practically any area of the skin.
Plasma Pen converts electrical energy into gaseous diatomic molecular nitrogen and transmits that energized gas to the skin’s surface in a non-contact way from above. This creates micro-trauma to the skin’s epidermal layer while simultaneously heating and disrupting the deeper dermal structure via thermal conduction, a treatment also known as fibroblasting. Fibroblasts are the most common cells of connective tissue in the body, crucial for producing collagen.
WHAT AREAS OF THE BODY CAN BE TREATED WITH PLASMA PEN?
Fibroblasting produces excellent results for any area of the body, particularly the face and neck regions—often addressed through mesa skincare techniques. Those considering fibroblasting treatment should carefully review the Plasma Pen contraindications, Plasma Pen Aftercare Instructions, risks, and determine which skin types can be safely treated.
Accordion lines, acne scars, crow’s feet around the eyes, forehead lines, jowl/jawline tightening, marionette lines that run from the mouth to the chin, nasolabial folds/smile lines, necklines (often referred to as turkey neck), smoker’s lines (or lipstick lines around the mouth), stretch marks, as well as upper and lower eyelids can all benefit from this innovative treatment.
PLASMA PEN VS. COSMETIC SURGERY
Compared to traditional cosmetic surgery, the Plasma Pen offers many advantages: no injectable anesthetic is required, no scalpel or cutting, and no ablation of the skin. Clients experience no stitches or scars, and the procedure has a very low risk with minimal side effects. Moreover, recovery time is short and there’s no risk of skin thinning or asymmetries. This treatment is cost-effective while providing long-lasting results (typically 2-3 years and can be permanent).
WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT PLASMA PEN VS. OTHER FIBROBLASTING DEVICES?
While many fibroblasting devices are marketed as Plasma Pen, they aren't the actual trademarked device. Competitors' devices can be purchased cheaply and are not true plasma technology. At best, they are intended for personal skin tag and mole removal—not ideal for professional use and could be dangerous. It’s essential to have a qualified technician to ensure safety and efficacy. The technicians performing fibroblasting should be professionally trained, as there are numerous contraindications, including certain medical conditions, medications, and skin types. Always do your homework.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?
Plasma Pen skin tightening results are impressive but should not be proposed as an alternative to surgery for moderate to severe skin laxity, where only surgery can achieve significant results. Clients typically see immediate tightening, with cumulative improvements over the next three months in the appearance of saggy skin. Depending on desired results, more than one session may be required.
IS THE PLASMA PEN TREATMENT PAINFUL?
Plasma Pen treatment is mildly to moderately uncomfortable, with pain levels varying among individuals. Certain areas of the body are more sensitive than others. A numbing cream can help to alleviate discomfort during treatment.
WHAT ARE THE RISKS OF THE PLASMA PEN TREATMENT?
The Plasma Pen offers a relatively safe treatment, especially when compared to more invasive procedures. However, all procedures carry risks, and it's important to review contraindications and potential side effects. Risks include swelling, bruising, scabbing, crusting, skin discoloration, or scarring. It may take four to six months to see a complete difference and full healing.
WHAT DOWNTIME CAN I EXPECT AFTER MY PLASMA PEN TREATMENT?
Downtime post-treatment is subjective. What one person considers 'bad' or 'uncomfortable' may differ from another's view. Compared to cosmetic surgery, downtime is minimal. If you compare it to a light chemical peel, however, the downtime can vary significantly. Expect redness, swelling, and scabbing in the treatment area, averaging 2 to 8 days of downtime on the face and neck, and 10 to 14 days on the body based on the treatment area and intensity. Swelling typically peaks around day three and subsides thereafter, while scabs should start to fall off between days four to seven.
PLASMA PEN: THE FOLLOWING DAY
Most clients can expect around three days of downtime in the facial and neck areas, with noticeable recovery by day four. From day five to ten, there may be minimal peeling as the crusts slough off.
WHAT SKIN TYPES MAY NOT BE GOOD CANDIDATES FOR PLASMA PEN TREATMENT?
Darker skin tones, including African American, African, Latin, Native American, Indian, Middle Eastern, and Asian ancestries, may not be ideal candidates for Plasma Pen treatment. At Patricia Skincare, we are dedicated to safe and effective treatments for everyone. When in doubt, we don’t take risks and refrain from providing Plasma Pen treatments on Fitzpatrick skin types 4-6.

Ombre Brows $525 Eyeliner $575
What's something exciting your business offers? OMBRÉ BROWS, a premier service at our Facial Mesa location. Also known as 'powder brow and/or shading', this semi-permanent cosmetic procedure deposits pigment into the superficial layer of the skin, creating a look similar to makeup application or a fresh eyebrow tint. This advanced technique is favored in Mesa Skincare for its ability to produce a solid, bolder, and more defined brow appearance. The pigment starts darker at the tail of the brow and gradually lightens towards the front, which is why it’s called 'Ombré Brows'. This procedure is suitable for every skin type, with results lasting up to 2 years.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS OMBRÉ BROW?
Ombré Brows, also referred to as Powder Brows or Shaded Brows, is the latest semi-permanent makeup technique using a digital machine, highly recommended by Patricia Skincare. It allows for 100% customization and is ideal for anyone wishing to enhance their eyebrows with a soft, natural makeup-like finish. This method employs pixilated dots to mimic the look of powder-filled brows, eliminating any harsh lines. This creates a softly misted brow akin to makeup application. The procedure is a two-step process, including an initial pigment insertion followed by a touch-up 6-8 weeks later. We focus on achieving the desired fullness and design of the eyebrows. Unlike Microblading, this technique provides a misty, powder-filled appearance.
WHAT DOES OMBRÉ BROW LOOK LIKE?
The tails of the brow are darker, fading as you move towards the front. This results in a waterproof and smudge-proof brow makeup look. Generally, Ombré Brows last longer than Microblading, typically around 2 years, though this can vary depending on the client's skin type. Final results are assessed after the touch-up application.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
Consultation occurs on the day of your appointment. To better prepare, feel free to conduct some research beforehand to feel more knowledgeable and confident. A topical anesthetic cream will be applied while we review forms and address any questions. We'll then take the time to shape the ideal brows and select a pigment tailored specifically for you. The powdering technique commences once you are satisfied with the brow shape, and the tattoo treatment usually takes about 1 hour for both brows. Please come prepared with photos of your ideal brow shape to help us maximize your session time.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
The entire appointment will take about 2 hours.
HOW LONG DOES OMBRÉ BROW LAST?
Ombré Brow lasts between 1-3 years. A touch-up is needed 6-8 weeks after the initial session. Clients opting for a soft look, lighter shades, or those not adhering to aftercare instructions may require more touch-ups. Factors that may accelerate your semi-permanent brow tattoo's fading include:
- Tanning bed/sun exposure
- Exfoliating
- Oily skin
- Medical conditions
We recommend a yearly 'Color Boost' to maintain the integrity of your procedure color.
DOES OMBRÉ BROW HURT?
Pain levels vary by individual. Those who wax, pluck, or thread their eyebrows regularly often find the procedure painless, while newcomers may experience some discomfort. A safe topical anesthetic cream will be applied to ease any discomfort. Most clients report minimal to no pain.
WHAT COLORS ARE AVAILABLE?
A broad range of colors is offered to complement your skin tone and hair color. The chosen color will match your natural features precisely. Our experienced artist will work with you to understand your preferences, providing expert opinions to finalize your selection.
IS THERE A CHANCE OF INFECTION?
Your safety is paramount. We adhere to the 'BodySafe' regulations as outlined by the Arizona Department of Public Health, implementing strict infection control measures. We follow OSHA standards for the safe handling of blood and bodily fluids, ensuring all tools are sterilized and single-use sterile disposable needles are always used.
IS SEMI-PERMANENT MAKEUP A TATTOO?
Yes, semi-permanent makeup is a form of tattoo. Pigments are inserted into the superficial layers of the skin but do not penetrate deep enough to be permanent. The medical-grade pigments used are safe for any facial area, designed to fade gradually over time.
PRIOR TO OMBRÉ BROW
Bring along any makeup products you use and photos of your desired look. Ensure good health, as a medical history form must be completed 48 hours before your procedure. Avoid alcohol and caffeine leading up to your appointment. One week prior, refrain from blood thinners like Ibuprofen and Aspirin unless medically necessary. Do not wax, tan, or tint your eyebrows 3 days before the appointment, and avoid anti-aging treatments like microdermabrasion or chemical peels 2 weeks prior.
OMBRÉ BROW AFTERCARE
Post-treatment, some swelling and soreness is normal, subsiding within a few days. Apply the provided ointment three times daily for three days using clean fingers or cotton swabs. Avoid touching the healing area to prevent bacteria transfer, and allow the skin to flake off naturally. It is recommended to avoid flying during the first week after your treatment.
WHAT IS THE HEALING TIME?
We recommend scheduling your appointment at least 2 weeks prior to any special events. The average healing time is about 7-14 days, although it may take longer for some individuals. Immediately after your procedure, your eyebrows will appear darker by 1-3 shades, gradually lightening through the healing process. You must avoid unsanitary conditions, heavy sun exposure, and getting the brows wet until fully healed.
CONTRAINDICATIONS TO OMBRÉ BROW
Patients who are pregnant, nursing, or have extremely sensitive skin should avoid this procedure. Other contraindications include allergies to topical anesthetics, history of keloids or hypertrophic scarring, severe acne, or skin irritations. Those on blood thinners, recent tans, or with certain medical conditions will require doctor approval prior to booking.
IS THIS PROCEDURE GUARANTEED?
As with any cosmetic procedure, results vary by individual skin anatomy. Longevity and pigment retention can be influenced by lifestyle and immune system factors. Additional sessions may be necessary based on your preferences.
HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT BEFORE GETTING PERMANENT MAKEUP AFTER BOTOX, INJECTABLES, CHEMICAL PEELS, OR LASER TREATMENTS?
We advise waiting 3 weeks before and after such treatments to ensure the desired results for your brows. Avoid heavy creams and serums directly on the eyebrows to maximize their longevity.
